FUTURA 2000 x Potato Head SINGAPORE

Merkaba Designs was approached and hired by Desa Potato Head to create a second smaller version of FUTURA 2000 Pointman sculpture to be displayed at the National Design Center in Singapore. Made from the iconic black and white striped bags commonly found in Bali. These bags were collected from rivers and landfill by Sungai Watch and then shredded and heat pressed into sheets. The sheets were then cut by cnc to form the sculpture. The sculpture measures over 3 meters in height and is comprised of 14,600 plastic bags.
